We All Have a Role to Play – What does that mean?

ree

On Wednesday, 10 September, Deniliquin will mark World Suicide Prevention Day with a community walk and lunch at Waring Gardens. We’re inviting everyone to join us between 11:00am and 1:00pm to take part in this important event.

When we say “We all have a role to play,” we mean that suicide prevention isn’t just about professionals or services. It’s about each of us as community members — noticing when someone isn’t themselves, starting a conversation, listening with care, and encouraging support.

Talking about suicide doesn’t make things worse; silence and stigma do.

By walking together, we’re sending a powerful message: that suicide affects many families and communities, including our own, and that no one has to face it alone. Every step we take is a step toward breaking down stigma, opening conversations, and showing that help is always available.

Your presence matters. Join us, show your support, and walk beside your community on 10 September.

If you need support visit www.denimentalhealth.org.au or Call Lifeline 13 11 14 or Accessline 1800 800 944 or Beyond Blue 1300 224 636
