Building Wellbeing Together in Deni

Wellbeing is built through small, everyday actions — a friendly chat, a kind word, helping out, or checking in with someone you care about. Together, these moments help create a stronger, more connected community.

In Deniliquin, caring for our mental wellbeing is just as important as looking after our physical health. And like physical fitness, mental wellbeing can be strengthened through simple, day-to-day choices.

This week’s Sticky Topics campaign highlights the 5 Ways to Wellbeing initiative from Deniliquin Mental Health Awareness Group (Deni MHAG).

The message is clear: a healthy mind matters, and there are easy ways we can support it every day.

Building wellbeing together starts with small choices — staying active, connecting with others, being mindful, continuing to learn, and showing kindness.

“Something as simple as choosing kindness or helping someone out can strengthen our own wellbeing and that of our whole community,” said Lourene Liebenberg, President of Deni MHAG.

In Deni, it’s the small things we do every day that build wellbeing — and together, they make our community stronger.

The Sticky Topics campaign is funded by Firsthealth Limited and Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network Community Grants through the Australian Government’s PHN Program, with local support from Edward River Council, Deniliquin Pastoral Times, and Ace Radio 2QN.
